2008 Convention Materials Now Available Online In case you missed a session or a handout from the successful Madison convention, many presenters have left copies here.

2009 Convention Set for Milwaukee After five consecutive conventions in Madison, WCTE members will have a change of venue next year. Keynoter will be Linda Christensen of Rethinking Schools and the Oregon Writing Project.  Take part in the program by proposing a presentation on your best teaching ideas or by volunteering to chair a session.  See the convention page for details.

Outstanding Student Teachers, Beginning Teacher Named
2007-2008 winners have been announced.

WCTE offers awards and grants to support innovative and excellent teaching and classroom research.  Also, each year WCTE honors outstanding beginning teachers, first-year teachers, and defenders of free speech, and nominates Wisconsin's High School English Teacher of Excellence.
