Dear WCA members,
This electronic proceedings for 2003 is WCA's first attempt to capture the richness of the ideas presented at this WCA conference in a form that allows us to share our learning with others, well after we leave Stockholm. The proceedings are the product of international collaboration and the wonders of technology.
Professor James Hayes, Colorado State University, United States, Professor Nancy Hoar, Western New England College, United States, and I worked over a six week period to edit and to bring together the papers, panels, and abstracts that we share at WCA03.

I would like to thank my co-editors for the professional and timely way that they conducted the editing process, Joanne Jacobs of QUT for work with the technical support, and Kenji Kitao for his role as Webmaster.

Papers in this collection have been blind refereed by two peers from a panel of expert reviewers with broad international representation.
