To become a lawyer, it is essential that a student first earn an undergraduate degree. The actual major taken for the degree is less important than the skills that the student obtains to assist him/her in law school. Law school is normally a three year curriculum. Upon graduation students are eligible to take the bar exam and become a practicing attorney. However, to get to this point there are a number of choices a student has to make.
