Jeff Herriott
Jeff Herriott is a composer and electronic performer who uses recording and computing technology to enhance and augment the natural sounds of instruments, with a goal of creating new and exciting aural spaces.
His works have been performed and commissioned by ensembles and players including bass clarinetist Michael Lowenstern, the Electronic Hammer, Due East, percussionist Greg Beyer, clarinetist Guido Arbonelli, Arraymusic, the Syracuse Society for New Music, and CONTACT contemporary music, and have been heard at a number of different festivals and venues in North America and abroad. Jeff has received awards and grants including a MATA Festival commission, an American Composers Forum commission through the Jerome Composers Commisioning Program, a McKnight Foundation Visiting Composer Residency, and support from the American Music Center Composers Assistance Program.

Notable performances in the past year include the Visiones Sonoras festival in Mexico, the Electroacoustic Juke Joint Festival in Mississippi, Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum as part of the SoundaXis festival, and a solo show at The Stone in New York City. Additionally, Jeff's installation, Ladonnatudina IV, was selected for presentation at the Sonic Residues Festival at SUNY-Stony Brook and at the Atrium Sound Space in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
