About the duo

Sonict formed in 2005 with a goal of sonic exploration in new media and aesthetic style. The duo focuses on works that combine saxophone, video, and live electronic audio performance to create music of the highest performative, artistic, and emotional caliber. Our repertoire is drawn from a combination of commissions, existing works, and newly-created work by Sonict. Members of the duo have been involved in concerts and festivals throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and South America.

Sonict has recently performed at Hallwalls, the Eastman Conservatory, the University at Buffalo, Nazareth College, Augustana College. In Summer 2008, Sonict will be playing part at the The Stone in NY as part of a solo Jeff Herriott recital, with plans for shows in Fall 2008 in Kansas City and elsewhere.
