Scheduling Advising Appointments

Check WINS to see if you have an advising hold.  If you have an advising hold, you cannot register until you meet with your academic advisor.

Sorry, but I do not do advising over the phone. We must meet in person.

To schedule an advising appointment:

 

● Set up an appointment well before your registration window opens. I usually cannot schedule a meeting on the same (or even the following) day of a request.

● Check your registration time on WINS.

● Check my office hours for the current semester:  Office Hours

● Email me to set up an appointment:  cookj@uww.edu

● I restrict advising appointments to my office hours as much as possible. If my posted hours cannot work for you, please let me know and we'll try to work out a different time.

 

For your advising appointment, please:

• bring an updated copy of your Advising Report (available on WINS);

• think about, jot down, and bring with you any questions you have;

• look over your AR and think about what courses you might register for;

• if you’re nearing your junior or senior year, think about any questions you have for me about longer-range plans (i.e., for after graduation); and

•  be on time.
