Interface/Communication Thread- 16 credits

The goal of the Communication thread is provide students with the ability to create and deliver messages in a variety of different digital interactive media, assess the quality of the message, and ensure that the audience/user is able to understand/absorb/utilize the message as intended. This section provides students with an array of different media production classes, to produce content for games and other media. Students learn how to build good interfaces, compose storyboards, conduct usability assessments and manage large-scale projects. Theory classes consider the role of games in developing culture and communicating messages. Video games are considered and assessed as a cultural phenomenon equivalent to film/television and radio.
