UWW hosts the PlayExpo every year at the University Center. The PlayExpo is a juried show of Games and Interative Media. We award cash prizes in ten categories. Submit your work, come and see what others have produced, and hear a speaker from industry. In 2008 we heard from artist Arnie Swekel of Raven Software. In 2009 it was Asst. Producer Veronica Gonzalez from Electronic Arts. Check the website for current information.
Juried show: entrants submit work to a category for consideration. The competition is open to individuals or groups of any age as long as the work was created within the geographical area of the Midwest.
Entrants submit work and judges determine which work is accepted into which category. During the festival all participants show their work on computers in a series of appropriate spaces.
We have a keynote speaker from the game industry.
