The EGG lab is a place for students, faculty and the broader Wisconsin community to come together and create compelling interactive media. Our goal is to produce games and other interactive media products which solve interesting problems. Contact us if we can develop a project with you. Our students and faculty are always looking for new challenges. We look forward to occupying our new space within a year.
By the end of summer 2009, we plan to have conducted two usability tests on the new Frog Dating game, added voiceovers to the individual frog videos, and made the whole piece more funny and compelling. We hope to be ready to ship a completed game to biology teachers by January 2010. Email us if you'd like Matt to come to your school and demonstrate how it will make high school students want to learn about frogs.
Did you know that a lot of kids show up for Little League softball without knowing the rules? Our game teaches them the rules at home so that coaches can focus on actually playing softball. We have the quiz part working on this. By the end of summer 2009, we will have completed the animations of wrong answers and voiceovers to keep players interested in learning the rules. It will be ready to ship to Softball coaches by February 2010. Get your orders in now!
We are developing this project for the OshKosh online nursing program and for potential use by communities who don't have enough doctors to assist women giving birth. The player will have to help a woman who is going into labor deliver the baby without professional assistance. Help! Don't drop the baby!
