Multimedia has become so complex that projects such as games, interactive journalism, websites and interactive educational media, etc. are created by groups of people working together.

Course Description

As the culmination of the Multimedia Digital Arts Communication sequence, students taking this class will pitch, plan, design and build a large group interactive multimedia project as well as smaller projects. Students will implement the knowledge they have acquired individually in courses in the Multimedia sequence and learn how to work in a group. Students will utilize XHTML, CSS, image/sound/video editing abilities, Flash software, and usability testing. The final project should be a significant portfolio piece which helps launch students in their desired field.

By the end of this class, students will also have a compete working portfolio that demonstrates their skills and showcases their understanding of the interactive multimedia design process. Once this is ready, students can apply for jobs with a reasonable probability of success. Email me if you would like me to add you to the interactive media and games jobs/announcements listserv.
